We wish it wasn't so, but Covid-19 is a fact that we must deal with for the time being. Because of this we have made some adjustments to our procedures with the ultimate goal of keeping staff and guests safe, while still providing our full range of services.
Guest safety is always our primary concern and we are making adjustments to comply with state and county regulations, CDC guidelines.
Along with our regular extremely high cleaning standards, we have enhanced procedures in place :.
Hand sanitizer will be in all suites for your use, as well as at points throughout the common areas.
Stair railings and light switches in common areas will be disinfected throughout the day.
Casa staff will be wearing face masks and gloves while cooking, cleaning and servicing rooms.
Guests must bring face masks, as they are required whenever you will be within 6 feet of another guest. Face Masks need only be worn in common areas, when other guests and/or staff are present within 6 ft.
Daily housekeeping will always be provided, unless requested otherwise. We understand that at this time, guests may prefer that housekeeping not enter their suite. If so, for multiple night stays, we will happily provide fresh towels, soaps, toilet paper, etc. Each suite is thoroughly sanitized between guests. Breakfast will be served at your table and snacks will be in Suites
At The CASA COQUINA del MAR BED AND BREAKFAST, every guest reservation is both important and special to us. If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call at least 3 (three) days prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation.
In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than three (3) days notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we can rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund will be made. If we cannot rebook your room, we will credit the remaining paid portion of your stay for a future date, providing cancellation is made more than 24 hours in advance. Same day cancellations will be credited with 1/2 of deposit towards a future stay provided cancellation is made by noon on date of arrival. No credit will be given for cancellations made after Noon, on date of arrival unless suite is rebooked.
If you must cancel at anytime even if we can rebook your room we do charge a $20 cancellation fee in order to cover our processing costs. Bookings for dates which fall into Holiday weekends are subject to a 10 day cancellation policy.
Although we do one night bookings, we require two night minimum stays for many holiday weekends. The minimum requirement is also applied to major rocket launches. If you already have a one night reservation, made 24 hours or more prior to announcement of the launch scheduling, you will be able to keep that reservation without the 2 night minimum. The minimum can be a combination of any two consecutive days Friday- Sunday of the holiday weekend. In the event, you book for one night only through online booking, you will be contacted and given the opportunity to go on a waiting list for last minute availability. Otherwise, your reservation will be cancelled and any deposit refunded. We appreciate your understanding. Bookings for dates which fall into Holiday weekends and major rocket launches are subject to a 10 day cancellation policy.
Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and special requests. A 30 day cancellation notice is required on whole house bookings and for some holidays and special events. Should your booking fall into one of these time periods, you will be notified at the time of booking.
Normal Check-in: 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM. If arriving outside of check-in times, please call to make arrangements. We are happy to accommodate early check in whenever possible.
Check-out: 11:00 AM. Please let us know if later check out is needed. We will accommodate when possible.
Due to the age and historic nature of our building Absolutely No Smoking inside; however designated outdoor smoking areas are available.
We do love pets, but at this time, our only pet friendly suite is occupied for several weeks so we do not have a pet friendly suite available.

GIFT CERTIFICATE POLICIES
Only Gift Certificates issued by Casa Coquina are accepted by us. We do not participate in the bedandbreakfast.com gift certificate program.
Gift certificates must be presented at check-in along with a valid driver's license. Gift certificates are transferable. Any remaining amount on gift certificates can be used at a later day up to the expiration date. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash.
